Gordon from the new Thomas Wooden Railway line is peak merchandise. He is made of sturdy, smooth wood with durable, plastic wheels. The detail printed on the sides is nothing short of superb; capturing every detail of Gordon’s depiction in the CGI Thomas & Friends series, and the extra length allows him to appear much bigger than a tank engine like Thomas, as he should. The sturdiness and size allow kids to have easy play, and the incredible detail gives longtime fans a nice piece to put on their display of Thomas & Friends products. This is FAR superior when put up against the previous “Wood” redesign. A definite 5/5 for me.

After all of the horribly rushed and (to put it bluntly) utter garbage mattel has been churning out, it’s great to see them realize how vital to the franchise merchandise of this quality can be.I really wish the show was as good quality as this merchandise, and hopefully they go back to how the show used to be as my niece and nephew are absolutely outraged over the new “take” on the show, as they’ve pushed older fans as well as older viewers away from the series by making it “ACTION, ACTION, JUMP OFF THE TRACK! ACTION!.” all the time instead of how it was a “chill show about steam engines being steam engines”The merch is absolutely impeccable and hopefully the show can follow this quality some day!

I haven’t seen a kid who didn’t enjoy Thomas the Tank trains! I prefer the models with magnets, they’re the same, sturdy toys I purchased in the 90’s. They’re a well made toy that’ll last.

This is everything our train lover wanted. We have many of the early 2000’s wooden railway cars & track. Our train expert (15yo) says the faces on these are far better & resemble the characters better. He appreciated the changes made to the design & was very happy with this. Yes they’re a little pricey, but they do become collectors items, in or out of the box. He’ll never sell them though! Lol
