My three-year-old son LOVES trains and asked for some for Christmas this past year. We were also looking to purchase a train table for him so we ended up buying the KidKraft Waterfall Mountain Train Set and Table and these trains were a suggested additional purchase and a good price so we ordered them.When my son opened this gift, he was ecstatic! Of course he wanted us to put together the train table right away so he could play with his trains. So far, these trains have been some of his favorite toys and he plays with them daily! The set includes 12 pieces of various types of train parts like an oil tanker, engine, caboose, and passenger coaches, just to name a few. The product description lists all of the pieces included with this set. All of the pieces are painted nicely and include good-quality, fairly realistic graphics so they resemble real trains as much as a toy can. The size of the cars ranges slightly but in general, most are right around three inches long. All of the trains have durable wheels that have held up to my son’s constant playing and they work really well on the tracks that came with our train table. Some of the cars have tops that come off but you can slide them back on the wooden pieces that will hold them in place until they are pulled off again. Also, none of the trains make noises or light up so you won’t need batteries with this set. The trains have magnets on the fronts and backs so you can make trains as short or long as you want. The only thing I’ve noticed with the magnets is they don’t always work with some of the other brands of trains. We have an inexpensive train from a local store that works perfectly with this set but the Thomas trains we have seem to have the magnets reversed so the Thomas trains only work with this set if they are backwards. Perhaps these Orbrium trains aren’t compatible with the Thomas trains but it doesn’t seem to bother my son at all. This set comes packaged in a sturdy, wooden box with shelves so you can easily store them at the end of the day. For anyone who is curious, this set is made in China.Overall, I think this set is a great addition to our train table and you could easily use these trains by themselves if you just want to purchase some trains. I feel this set is a good-quality, nicely painted, and very durable set of wooden trains that would be perfect for anyone who loves trains. It’s also very affordable and offers plenty of variety in the types of cars and colors included. My son loves them and plays with them daily so it was worth it for us to buy this set and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a set of trains!

My three-year-old is obsessed with trains and this was a great toy for him to be able to take on the go. All of the train cars are good quality and made of wood and metal. These are much cheaper than the Thomas toys and get the job done. It comes with a lot of different train cars and goes well with my son’s imaginarium train set.
