I bought this for the space themed play area in my kindergarten classroom. I suspect this toy won’t last very long. The plastic is thin and rather flimsy because of all of the movable parts that are still connected while a child moves them. It even leans when all of the movable features are wide open. My best description of the plastic is, imagine a gallon milk jug only twice as thick.In addition, the (plastic pipe) connection from the spaceship into the figurine is too loose and doesn’t stick so that dial feature is useless. In other words the astronaut can’t “float in space”. The top capsule lights up when a figure is placed on the seat inside. This is cool but the problem with that is the figurine/astronaut is too light weight to get the light/seat button to turn on every time. A lot of finagling is needed. That could cause frustration for the child.All in all, the creative design is cool. It’s what sold me. They get an A+ for that. Unfortunately, the final product is too cheap to last very long. They need to go back to the mechanical engineering desk to make it sturdier. For what it’s worth, it might last longer if this were given to one child. (See photos)

This toy is wonderful! It’s great looking, bright and my almost 4 year old grandson loves it! Before playing with it We talked about gravity and breathing in space. I also showed him the video of the first landing on the moon. We then played with it and pretended to be the astronauts. We had so much fun. This toy will be played with for hours and then will be handed down to his new little brother. GREAT TOY, well worth the price and more!
