I love BRIO and have purchased them in past for my own Children. We purchased this for our Grandson. The other engine’s from BRIO don’t make this noise. Not sure if it will last as long.

The media could not be loaded. My son is almost 3. We bought this engine set for him, thinking he’d play with it for a few minutes, and then he would move on. Instead, it has become his favorite toy. He runs it constantly, and we run through about 1 battery every 24 hours.As you can imagine, with that much use the engine is starting to wear out. The powered wheels have lost their rubber, so they don’t have traction to pull other cars or climb slopes anymore. I would suggest picking up one of the kits that has an engine with more than one battery just to keep from changing the battery every day. We will be purchasing another one of these (one with two batteries) once this one no longer functions, tho I wish we could get it replaced because of the rubber wearing out.

This little train makes our 2 year old train lovers day. It pulls and pushes more cars than expected (at least 5) and the movement of the other 2 cars in the set is a nice added touch. It does got through batteries quickly buy only needs one at a time so its not a problem & is easy to change. A must buy treat for any little train lover.

This train went through batteries non stop. We finally bought rechargeable ones for it and that helped but we still spent a fortune on batteries! Also this only lasted for about 6 months for my 2 year old who loved it and played with it every day… but still only 6 months. The wheels no longer grip the track enough for the train to move. I expected more for the price paid.

Neat little train, I like how the cement mixer drum & coal bucket move while it’s driving. Disappointingly, I used Duracell optimum batteries and it only lasts 30 minutes. Not long enough.

My son loves this train! Just a heads up though, you will go through so many batteries if you leave it on! My kid plays with it all day and we’ll go through a new battery every other day at least. Other than that, it’s super cute and well made and my two year old loves it.
