Bought this to be able to add curves to all of the straight track we had. Works great for that, but taking one star off because the first curve after the “launch” mechanism is tricky. You really have to find the right speed for it to go around successfully. Other than that, the launching mechanism is nice because it is manual, so you don’t have any batteries involved that would need to be replaced. Just put the car in and hammer it home.Right now, one half of the set is at the top of our stairs (imagine a U-shape) with the downslope attached to a bunch of straight track pieces (not included) that go down the stairs. We launch the cars and they go around one curve before heading down the stairs. Of course, we have a pillow propped under the end of the track to create a ramp that sends the cars flying like crazy. Legos work well as structures to demolish with the cars flying off of the ramp. A good time is had by all.

I bought the Hot Wheels Dragstrip from the other sellers section of Amazon for $13. For $13, it’s not bad, but it’s not worth anything over $15. The dragstrip was super easy to put together, but the flag and drop down stand each have a sticker you have to put on, which are annoying to line up straight but no problem. The flag is flimsy and is hard to stand up straight for each race. It usually falls to the right, so it’s pretty much useless in races as I have to eyeball the winning car. Some cars won’t work in the launcher. If the car has any space between the top of the back or the bottom, the launcher won’t shoot it off correctly, which is a bummer because some cars are just useless. There is also an indention in the middle of the track where the car goes in bay. If a car has a narrow wheel base, then it’s useless because it’ll hit the top of this indention and not race correctly. I’m not sure of why it was designed this way, but there is no purpose for it.I also use the dragstrip without the drop down, because some cars like a Hummer or Offroad truck do not fit beneath the flags and will hit it before getting out of the bay. They do, however, fit in the launcher, which is nice.Overall, it is a fun toy. The launcher is nice for bigger Hot Wheels, but has it’s flaws. The drop down is a good concept, but has it’s flaws, and the finish line flag is a good idea, but has it’s flaws. 4/5 Stars for $13, but if I spent more money on it, then I would give it 3/5 Stars.

The flags at the end don’t always fall to the actual winner is the biggest issue no matter what the length of track or cars especially photo finishes. (you can make a very long drag strip with more track if you have it). It’s a lot of fun for the price with a cool X-mas tree starting line drop-down effect.

All parts in tact and accounted for! Works as it should husband and son are happy so Iโm happy! Could be packaged better but a slightly dented box isnโt a big deal when nothing inside is damaged

I bought this for my 2-year old sons Birthday and it worked out great. If you’re looking for the simplest starter kit as far as Hot-Wheel tracks go, this is it. He had lots of fun and it was easy to use.The instructions do lack a little bit in pictures and instructions which was kind of annoying. But it’s the best starter track you’ll find.
