We bought this for our two year old who is really into forklift trucks. We were genuinely surprised at the quality of this toy. The forklift mechanism is just a little more sophisticated than you would think, and I’m sure it’s holding our toddlers attention because of it. It’s also a nice size a weight, not to big that it is awkward or hard for him to carry around, but big enough that he really gawks at the details. It has counter-geared steering on the back wheels, which makes it challenging for him to drive and so is likely to push him developmentally. It also has a nice lifting mechanism with the pallet, which makes it very realistic. We were very excited to find a fairly substantial booklet of other toys by this maker and a brief glance indicates that their other toys appear to show a similar level of design and quality. We will definitely be revisiting that for future birthdays and Christmas gifts. When the toy was first out of the box some of the features were a bit stiff for little hands, but they’ve loosened up now and work beautifully. It’s not for every 2 year old, as it does require a little patience and is plastic, so could break if tossed around, but otherwise a great toy.

I really thought this fork lift was larger but it is okay and is very realistic. The toy is well made and sturdy and it has been in continuous use by a 3 1/2 very active little boy and it is holding up very well compared to some of the other toys he received at Christmas time. It has not come apart and has been put through some rough playing. The only thing that concerns me is the forks are very pointy. I know it is a fork lift, but it still is very pointy especially is there is a younger sibling as there is in my household. I make sure the little one is not around when it is being played with. Other than that, it’s a great toy!

This is a great value and the pallets are very fun to play with. It comes with 2 pallets, and I’ve considered buying the expanded set of fork-lift accessories, but I haven’t yet. I’d give it a 5-star rating if it weren’t for the impossible stering technique. I compare it to drawing with an etch-a-sketch. That little screw in the back is super counter-intuitive for me and impossible for my toddler. I imagine if I were a trained fork-lift driver it might make sense. Annoying, but not a big draw back and my toddler doesn’t care. The actually fork lift mechanism is awesome. It lifts very easily using a clever string and pulley system and tilts back and forth to allow you to lift back and lay down your cargo easily. There are lots of little well engineered stop grooves that allow that tilting of the forks to stop in place at whichever angle you like. At its highest point, the pallets are lifted just over the roof level of the cab. The back end also has a removable trailer hitch if you want to connect any other bruder trailers to this. Not sure why, but its a fun option. The forks feel a little cheap, and are removable. This may be an anti-breaking approach by Bruder, so instead of snapping off, they kind of fall off. This comes in handy when its dropped off the couch or rammed into a wall. Its easy to just slide them back in place. This is a good value and very fun for our toddler.

My 3 year old is obsessed with this forklift. He likes to pick the pallets up and deliver them to me over and over… and over and over, lol. The fork tines get pulled off frequently and are easy to put back on. The tilting feature is great, and the size is perfect. One of his favorite toys now.

I use this toy as a visual aid for the forklift safety classes I provide at my company. It has served as an ideal tool in demonstrating some of the key safety concepts.

My 3 year old grandson loved this forklift.. which delighted his grandma beyond measure. I’m not overly impressed but my sweet grandson is.. so that is all that matters.

Bruder makes the best toys. Their products are incredibly sturdy and so much fun to play with. I gifted this to my five-year-old nephew and he has already played with it for hours. I love that it not only looks like a forklift, but it functions exactly like one as well. The two little pallets it comes with are so cute and he has gotten such a kick out of them.

The forks both snapped within the first week. I expect better from Bruder, most of their other items have been quality but I guess it’s hit and miss and this item was a miss.
