   We got this for our son for Christmas. He is 9 and was very good at making sure to not let the cars fly off the track. It worked great for about 3 days and then the Batman car stopped working. We ordered a new car ( The Flash) that went to this set and it also barely worked. It wouldn’t make it around the loop de loop. Only the Joker car worked. We tried replacing batteries and even the pads on the bottom of the cars. Nothing helped. Kinda pointless to only have 1 car work. Returned and will try a different brand.

   My grandson loves this. He is 3 and has no trouble with hand control.I love that it has different speed levels. The trigger is also very easy to press.

   What you need to know about slot cars.Forget the body style for a moment. A car is just a motor, gears, and braid that transfers power from track to motor. Not all motors perform the same. Some are faster than others.The braid MUST be cleaned every several minutes of play or it WILL slow and stop. That’s ok, and not a big deal for parents or bigger kids, the 4 – 8 yo kids don’t get that fact. This set came with 4 xtra braids. Additional braids can be purchased and are very cheap.New cars are expensive. Additional track is expensive. Don’t get all wide eyed on the phenomenal picure included in the box of the expansion possibilities.This set has 9 possible layouts so be happy with that (FYI…Two B tracks = one C track).Use a tweezer to gently squeeze the two small insert tabs to almost touching BEFORE first assembly of the track. Some came misshaped out of the box. This will aid assembly. Do a quick check before alternate layouts.Brush, blow or vacuum the slots often, and did i say clean the braids.

   You can not use the highest speed setting on the controller as the cars will fly off every time however on the low setting it works great
